Homebuyers report..........

I am selling my apartment....its 5 years old and we are 2 weeks from completion. At this late stage the purchaser is having a homebuyers survey done. I could bloody scream. It's delaying everything. The apartment is immaculate and I'm br1cking it now.
I have no experience of these surveys and now terrified it's going to go wrong.
Is it really worth having this survey done??

I would say any buyer who didn't have a survey was taking a risk. It's the prudent thing to do.

I'm a mortgage adviser and would always recommend a homebuyers report or full structural survey, they're designed to discover any damp, structural movement or potential issues with property that may have an impact on future value/saleability. It's a responsible thing for the purchasers to do and unless you have something to hide there's nothing to worry about

Thanks for the replies. I think because it's so late in the day- the offer was made late Sep and it's taken ages for them to get finances etc in place.
I don't have anything to hide just want it completed now and also worried it may show things that I have no idea about. I did read somewhere the surveys are very soon and gloom.

Surveys aren't doom and gloom, but they are designed to see if the property is likely to need any essential repairs in the next 1,5,10 years. Don't stress about it
