Cheap custom bookcase

I basically want a bookcase/shelving unit to put next to my tumble dryer to hold my ironing baskets etc.

A cheap, simple ikea bookcase would be perfect, but they just aren't deep enough.

What I want is really simple, basically almost the dimensions of my tumble dryer, with one shelf.

I've looked on custom bookcase websites but they're all over £100 once I've entered the dimensions i need.

I've never built anything from scratch before but surely it can't be difficult to make a bookcase?

I just want to find the cheapest way of doing it! Any suggestions?

What about an Ikea base kitchen unit with 2 shelves? You can use one shelf as the top & put the other wherever you want.

Look in the storage bit of IKEA for utility shelving

Yes kitchen base unit. Wickes, B&Q etc will all have them in stock in their basic range at least.

Thanks for your suggestions. I was thinking about a kitchen cabinet unit.
I'll have to look at dimensions but also think this might be the best thing.
Thanks.
