2018 house list1

So I've finally sat down and compiled a list of all the things that need doing in 2018 to my poor neglected house!

• New blinds for kitchen and front bedroom
• New carpet up the stairs
• New garden fence
• massive declutter of whole house
• finish a kitchen pantry cupboard which is made and being used but has no handles and needs painting
• reseal the bath
• finish tiling behind the sink in the bathroom
• repaint front bedroom
• buy light fitting for kitchen and bathroom
• New shower head and hose
• storage for front bedroom and downstairs
• New sofa - current one is awful
• New rug for living room
• fill in all cracks around the windows (we had new Windows fitted and there are cracks all around then widows due to the old ones being removed so forcefully)
• buy a new washer dryer

It's big and costly but I think I can most of the diy myself.

I've already kicked things off by buying a new dishwasher today and crossed it off the list. Our old one broke 6 months ago and I've been cursing it everytime I've washed up since!

Anyone else have a hell of a lot to do to the house over 2018?

Sand walls and repaint in ensuite
New carpet in upstairs hall and stairs
Redecorate spare room
Strip horrendous 80s border from master bedroom and repaint
Sort (fix!) the extractor fan in the bathroom
Tidy out the office
Landscape front garden (currently looks like the Somme!)
Clear some of the rubbish from the garage

Have already started on the border in our bedroom! And 2017 saw us rip the entire main bathroom out and refit so no more avocado suite for us!

Oh and all (except front garden probably) needs to be done by May when baby arrives!

In 2018 I need to:
Extend the kitchen
Damp proof upstairs bedrooms
Replayed upstairs bedrooms
Take out horrible built in wardrobe
Paint upstairs
Regrout bathroom
Install new showerhead
Build shelves in lounge once kitchen extension is finished
Redecorate DS's room - loft bed, wardrobe, desk, bookshelf
Rerender back of house
Paint outside window trim
New front door

Hahahahaha. If I get more than three things done off that list I'll call it a success!

Oh Yeah.... clear out loft of shite

My list is:
Back garden - get new patio, plant hedging.
Hallway - more shoe storage needed. Ok decorative order but v untidy.
Living room - put up pictures (walls v bare), Get ceiling skimmed, new ceiling lights. Would love new fireplace/wood burner but can’t justify that as existing one adequate. Get carpet and sofa professionally cleaned.
Kitchen - all ok (wow!) done lots of work in 2017.
Upstairs- Some new furniture needed in kids rooms. Not urgent.
Front garden- needs overhaul and driveway as existing one just a dirt track. Some wall repairs.
So house inside not too bad but outside needs quite a lot of money and work.
