Washing machine overflowing only when we wash towels

Every time we wash bath towels in aerial liquid the machine fills with fine suds that overflow. Doesn’t happen with other fabrics. Any ideas on why please?

What heat are you using. Mine bubbles ike this on a 90 degree wash so I use less soap.

Too much detergent OP. You can save a fortune by using half the recommended amount on all washes! Smile

too much detergent.
try half or even a third.
my mashine throws a foam party whenever I use the recommended detergent amount.

This happens with me - I think it's because there isn't as much 'dirt' on towels as with clothes. It's like when you wash your hair after a few days, and the shampoo can vanish, but when you wash very clean hair (or so a repeat) the foam lingers.

Solution is just to use far less detergent.

if you don't rinse after a bath or use the towels for cleaning towels will soak up the soap.
also if you underfill the mashine the rotation will beat up a foam (similar to washing up liquid on a sponge)

Your towels have probably got a big build up of detergent in them from using too much for a long time. Try washing them without any detergent for a few washes - you'll be surprised how much foam they produce.

Thank you we will use less liquid next time and report.
