And if so can anyone please give me some advice about water pumps?
We bought our house two years ago and the previous owners had installed a Salamander RHP75 twin pump in the airing cupboard next to the hot water tank. Apart from the water supplying the dishwasher, washing machine and kitchen cold tap, all other water seems to set the pump off and we've had great water pressure.
Pump recently started making very odd noises and cutting in/out so a friend who does property refurbs has disconnected it for us. But now we have no water pressure. Toilets seem to flush ok without it. Cold water taps are very low pressure but useable. Showers are the problem - one doesn't work at all, the other is the tiniest trickle.
Have had the water company out and the pressure going into the house is ok, so I think we need a replacement pump. But the pump we had is expensive to replace and (I think) too powerful for what we need.
So my question is what other type/make/model of pump can I buy that will be a bit cheaper and not quite as powerful? Please help! Thanks
