Cupboard lighting, no power source.

Can anyone recommend a light for cupboard spaces where there is no electricity? I'd like a light which comes on when I open the door of the understairs cupboard. I've seen solar powered ones which of course won't work...

do you own the rooms above?

We've got one of those JML type movement sensor ones that's battery operated. Really quite bright too.

Should be available most places - definitely on Amazon.

you could have a cable run under the floor above, from the nearest ceiling rose. If you can't FIY an electrician can do it. The carpet will need to be rolled back, and it will be easier if you have floorboard than sheets of ply.

If there is an electrical socket, a spur can be run, fused down at the switch.

Thank you! I'm going to try one of the battery ones, and if it isn't adequate get an electrician in. Thank you!

I got stick on, motion activated battery LED ones from amazon.

Work a treat.

Jenala · 20/12/2017 20:56
