AVOID ANGLIAN HOME IMPROVEMENTS

I've googled a few threads and the results brought me to this page. Please read my factual account of the torrid time I've had with them and for your stress levels, avoid them!

The sales man was a nice guy and gave a no nonsense one quote, (final figure, no haggling).

The first fitting of the patio door collapsed after 2 weeks. Anglian sent a manager around to make sure this was the case, and several weeks later the doors got re fitted.

Still not 100%, so a further complaint, then a day wasted waiting for the manager to come round again. He then said a service engineer would be in contact ASAP. 3 weeks later, still no contact/appointment.

Eventually a service engineer arrived - he was generally satisfied with the installation, but pointed out minor issues and a part that hadn't been fitted.

Now have to waste yet another day/time waiting for another fitter to come.

All in all, 6 days of hassle, countless emails and phone calls for what SHOULD have been one day's work.

DO NOT USE ANGLIAN!!!

I wouldn't use any big co. anyway, because a few yrs ago when I had a quote from one of them - Anglian or Everest, forget which - it was the time-worn spiel of, 'usual price would be £Ridiculous, but just for you, just for today, I can knock 50% off that,'
I HATE that sort of sales pitch, and when someone phoned to ask why I hadn't ordered, I told them.
In any case, any co. that spends a bomb on TV advertising is almost certainly going to be more expensive than a small local company.

Spoke with their senior manager this morning! Apparently Anglian can’t even buy my wife a bunch of flowers to say ( and actually demonstrate) that they’re sorry!!! 7 days of shoddy work, missed appointments and having to arrange our lives for “inspections” from area managers/service engineers. AVOID ANGLIAN!!!!

I'd be focussing on getting the job finished properly, rather than a bunch of flowers!

Indeed! It’s been several months now- a one day job! But when you mess up, a good company offers good customer service! In this case, a small gesture would have gone a long way for all the on going inconvenience!!!!!

I think they're awful but DM and DF insist on using them everytime they need a new window.

Last time they quoted £1k for a single window, and took them over a month to fit. When I said to my parents it was awful, they said "it must be ok as he even called his manager while he was here to get us a discount". WTAF? Kings of the fake phonecall and rip off merchants.
