Yes, I think the person who picked the multi coloured one must have had a great personality.

I don't know what they think picturesque means, but...

I can't have much confidence in the quality of the land lord though - someone that rents out a house with decor that old doesn't fill me with confidence that they are all over electrical and gas certificates etc

I think £1750 is less than you would expect for a three bed round there, so they've obviously tried to recognise the... ermm......retro fittings, but maybe not enough! It is odd because they could get a lot more for it if they modernised so must be quite an unusual situation.

I have just moved into a 1960s house and all the decor is like this. I intend to renovate it but as a 60s child myself I do have a sneaking love for my swirly carpets, Formica worktops and stone fireplace.
The landlord is having a laugh though.

I think it looks pretty immaculate and well cared for - though not updated obviously.

Looks like someone has just died and family want to rent for a while - I doubt it has rented before?

Those carpets look cheap though - electric shock cheap - doubt they would survive a robust carpet cleaning....I can imagine the rubber backing disintegrating ....

I think you are right another it must have been well cared for to survive as is.

That is one very well kept home and it is very true to it's age. I like it and I'm sure many families would. Not everyone want a hotel room look alike.
The house would not be up for rent without all the relevant safety certificates.
PS Those walnut wardrobes date to about the 1920s, I have a five piece set (was more)
