Due 8.30 tomorrow but not moving until Friday.

Am trying to pack essentials box for kitchen, cleaning, chargers, DIY bits

We’ve got overnight cases packed plus all sports etc kits kept out. Do I put it all in the car just to make sure it doesn’t get packed??

What else should I be doing?

Tell the head packer what is not being packed and ask where you should keep it. You sound pretty organised. I had to rescue damp, used towels from being used to pack bathroom stuff on moving day so make sure you stick them in a bin bag in the car. Empty bins and hang a bin bag somewhere so rubbish doesn’t move with you.

Top tip for the bins thank you.

I’m organised I hope but not looking forward to 48 hrs in a ‘packed’ house!

Ours did a day and half before moving day. On the day before, they started loading the van and it went to their secure warehouse overnight. This meant we could clean easily and weren't tripping over boxes.

Check your movers policy on "open liquids" eg alcohol, toiletries and cleaning fluids. Our movers weren't insured to transport them so it was a squeeze to fit [quite a lot] into our car on moving day.

Good luck!
