Washing machine not draining, water pouring out through drawer.

It’s a Beko WMI71641, almost 2 years old.

On what seems to be a random basis the machine fails to drain the water out and then when it goes into spin mode the water comes pouring out through the detergent drawer. When it has done this the cycle won’t end and it gets stuck repeating the spin over and over or else going back to try and drain again which doesn’t happen. The only thing I can do is switch the machine off at the switch. I have taken out the little turny thing at the bottom of the machine and all the water drains out, nothing is blocking it. It then allows the door to open and I can do a spin.

Is this likely to be a blocked drainage pipe that I can clear myself or will I need an engineer? I have pulled the machine out to check for kinks in the pipe and none I can see. I tried to take off the pipe but it’s fixed pretty well at both ends and don’t want to force them in case it’s not a pipe issue at all.
