Can anyone recommend granite transformations?

Our kitchen is only a couple of years old so I don’t want to do any major work to it, but I really hate our oak worktops! They look dull and dirty, I can’t remove stains and even wiping them sets my teeth on edge because they are not smooth! Covering the wood with a thin layer of granite sounds ideal, but I don’t want to get a quote if it’s going to be a fortune or if the product is rubbish! Can anyone advise please?

We got a quote and they were about £1k more, they’re just too expensive compared to the alternatives.

I got my worktop from Planet Granite a few years ago and haven’t had any problems.

Do you mean 1k more than actual solid granite? Shock

Yes!!! Shock I couldn’t believe it! I also didn’t like the thickness of the overhang- I can’t work out why they’re sooo much more expensive than real quartz/granite. The colour range looks good and they’re heat resistant to 300 degrees....I think...might have been a bit of sales patter there!!
