Putting flat on the market in late Nov

After a lot of planning and thinking, we are ready to put our flat on the market. It's a shared ownership place in inner city London, likely to appeal to couples without children, or possibly with one child (2 beds, no garden).

The area we hope to move to still has places coming on the market every day, so doesn't seem to have slowed down from Christmas yet.

I want to just get on with it and get it on the market right now. Or should we wait until after Christmas? I thinking that the kind of people looking at it wouldn't be deterred from housing hunting in December.

Personally, I’d just go ahead. Christmas is still 6-7 weeks away!

Just do it!

I have a friend in same situation - I have encouraged her to do it because everything else in this price bracket has already sold / under offer in her area - so her's would be the only one for sale in her area probably until Feb. Also biggest day for property googling is boxing day I think - so loads of exposure. Go for it.

Thanks all.

another we're in inner city London so as it's densely populated there's always loads of stuff on the market. But the point about boxing day is a good point. I look at rightmove every day so every day is boxing day for me!

There are less people looking , but what you need is a committed buyer and anyone looking at this time of year will be doing it because they want/need to buy now (because theres loads more things to be getting on with if moving isnt a priority). So clean, de-clutter and get on with it!
