Changing a bulb with a potato

Hello all, realise this isn't the most exciting post! The bulb has gone but it has king of melted, not broken so can't use the potato to remove it. Any ideas?

Potato - if glass bulb has broken you canshove a potato on & use that the turn/remove remaining bulb.

OP i dont know but i would get the electrics checked! Maybe switch all current off then try with a well protected hand?

Hi, turned electrics off to try and unscrew it by hand after potato but not coming out! didn't protect hand enough

Wrap duct tape around it and use leather gloves or heavy duty gloves
