70's style composite front door

I'm hopefully (if all goes to plan) a 1970's link detached property. It will definitely need a new front door as the seal's have gone and it's letting in damp. I want to go with something that is in line with the age of the house but am stuck to what style was in when it was built. When I Google it comes up with these images. Would you agree or can anyone with a 70's property help??

It is quite a dark hall so I need something with glazing....

Do any of the neighbouring properties have the original door still in situ. The pictures you've posted are of doors which are far more stylish than any I remember from the 70s! Try eBay for reclaimed period doors too - you can get idea of style at least then.

Oooo I hadn't thought of that. I'll get onto streetview!

Many thanks

My mum's council house had a glazed front door like that in the 70's through to the 1990's.
She had a net curtain tied in the middle with a ribbon to match the decor!!!

I think my Granny had one of those net curtains Bell!
It was all about the matching ribbons!

Indeed it was!
The non council houses had half glazed aluminium doors - they were the height of sophistication!

Please update us when you find a door

The first one would be the lightest. Make sure postvin on a mat cannot be seen if you are away.
