Replacing polycarbonate conservatory roof for a solid one

Has anyone replaced a conservatory roof for a solid one. We want to replace our polycarbonate one which needs updating and looks ugly. We had a guy round who is going to provide a quote for a Livin Roof by Ultraframe. We want a couple of glass panels and it will be rendered and plastered on the inside with 12 downlighters. I suspect it is going to cost a small fortune.

We do use the conservatory a lot all year round and although I would not have put one on the house (it was on it when we bought it) it is quite a nice one. I have been told that this roofing system will keep it warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. I also want to improve the overall aesthetics of the room and have seem some pictures of how they look and it is just the look I am trying to achieve. Has anyone done this who can advise. Many thanks.
