Dining room flooring options

I'm struggling with what flooring to use in a dining room. At the minute there is carpet , which is coming out. We want to use this room as an occasional bedroom so there will be a pull out sofa in here and will mean a bit of moving furniture round. Ithink laminate is a bit noisy , carpet is too messy with small children , tiled a bit cold , possibly vinyl but could get torn. Anything else out there I might have missed ?

We have Amtico. Which is “luxury” vinyl. Quiet and warm(ish) underfoot. Not slippery. It does scuff / scratch. Overall happy with it.

I'll have a look thank you

I would second amtico.

You could just add an easy-clean rug on whatever floor you choose. That will make it quieter and more finished.
