Not too soft, not too firm- £1K budget. If you love yours- let me know! X

I'm posting because I HATE mine. It's M&S. I bought it after reading Which? reviews, and - stupidly - not having tried it because they didn't stock it in any store. It's ridiculously deep, ridiculously heavy (makes making the bed a right chore) yet somehow manages to be really uncomfortable nonetheless.

I guess the moral of the story is - try before you buy.

I hate my JL one, really not comfortable at all. Same about reading reviews, and getting it wrong. I sleep in the spare bedroom, and find that mattress more comfortable as it has a memory foam top layer. It’s a Silent Night one.

But, tbh you need to go try the mattress out in a store.

I have an IKEA one. It is fantastic, we bought it after spending a week in a cottage sleeping on a very comfy mattress. It cost about 400 7/8 years ago. I think You can return ikea mattresses if you don't like them.
