Inspired by the Christmas bargain thread (and my budget running wildly out of control!) anyone want to share renovation deals? I need everything doors to windows, kitchens to towel rails...

I’ve just bought all of my grohe taps from achica who have 20% off this weekend code inspire20 and I think referral codes are available too.

Following as we are just about to start a project but I think we will be looking to save by buying second hand from eBay and local reclamation yards for some stuff.

We have had some amazing bargains from eBay. The best was approx 500 sq meters of tiles (terracotta hexagonal French tim metres and hand made marrocan zellige ) with a retail value of over £20,000 I checked not exaggerating for £300 from a shop fitting firm.
We also got a Vilroy and Boche (?sp) bath for £1...

They were French tomettes, not tim meters! Ffs auto correct

Ive found tons of tiles to be a great site. Lots of brands, but much cheaper than retail stores.

We're also using worktop express for our full stave oak counter tops, and wood floors direct for our wood flooring

Wow that’s incredible avery eBay is really helpful for this, I’ve managed to get matching bath spa to go with my sink ones for £65 instead of £135 and have set alerts on eBay and gumtree for bits I’d like too

A few years ago I bought to composite doors front Front door and Back door that could be cut down a few inches to fit into existing wooden door frame. They were mis-measures and brand new. total cost for both £160. Fitted by joiner relative for free!

Simone linked to the appliance depot on another thread the other day which looked to have some good discounts on Siemens, Bosch, etc appliances

This thread is a definite for me - getting to the refit stage of our 1960s house renovation and feeling a bit overwhelmed / clueless 😕.

Not a bargain but a blog I love , that I’ve found useful if you are getting hands on with the renovation!

Oh I need this thread! Our house needs pretty much completely renovating and we don't really have enough money to do it all. Will be scouring eBay when we start after Christmas. i know a few people who have bought used kitchens from their builder?

Snagz · 27/10/2017 11:04

Floors and Walls tiles is a good website, also (London based) Fulham Timber Merchants will cut wood/MDF etc to size for you for reasonable costs - not many places still do this!

Snagz · 27/10/2017 11:05

Cut and deliver should say.

We have also renovated the house recently. The new doors and window designs have added to the beauty of the house.
