Brick veneer on walls

Has anyone ever used a brick veneer to create a 'brick wall' look?
I'm considering it for one wall of my new kitchen but not sure if it will look naff.

The ones that I have seen look really convincing. Many new "brick" buildings use them as facings rather than lay individual bricks. As with most things, it depends on the quality of the tiles and the skill with which they are applied.
