Can anyone recommend an all right, not horrifically expensive conveyancing solicitor for our sale? Our old one has left the company and struggling to get a good recommendation. More horror stories tbh

You don't need to use someone local to the property to do the work, as almost everything can be done either via email or post. Often firms outside London offer better value, as they don't need to pay London wages or rents.

We've used Maria Edwards at Lightfoots LLP a few times. We're in London, she isn't but it does matter. The woman takes efficiency and organisation to a whole new level.

I would really recommend Peter Westbrook of Attwaters, he does a great job at a decent rate. The firm is based in Loughton.
