How much to change a tap??

How much would you expect to pay someone for swapping a damaged tap? Just removing an old one & fitting the new one?
Trying to decide to do ourselves or pay someone to do a few little jobs.

I will ring around this afternoon, but if people have paid loads I might hold off for a little longer.

We live in SE London if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance!

Probably quite a lot. It's not a big job but the handyman would still need to get in the van and drive across to yours etc. so the minimum call out charge is likely to be £100 or something. If it's part of a longer list of things to do, it'd cost a small fraction of that.

My other half said if it's like for like and you provide the new tap he would charge £40 usually.

Thanks JoJo. I did think call out is what bumps it up. I might have to have a look around & find some other plumbing style jobs that need fixing to make it worth it!

Very helpful Due! It is a like for like swap. I'll have a ring round this afternoon Smile

No problem. Companies will be more expensive than someone self employed. Or if you know any friends of friends that's usually helpful!
