Could anyone recommend a rics surveyor in Manchester area. I've looked on rics website but would prefer a recommendation if possible.

Thanks

Any particular speciality?

For a domestic property?

Homebuyers or full building survey?

Cantthinkofagood1 · 04/10/2017 17:17

For a domestic property - homebuyers I would think.

I used countrywide surveyors and got a detailed survey.

Are you getting a mortgage? There is usually an option when getting a mortgage valuation to include a homebuyers or structural survey at the same time.
If not, would second countrywide.

Not getting a mortgage yet no, wanting an independent valuation on a property we're interested in. Will try countrywide thanks

Go on reallymoving.com, they do a comparison postcode search which is handy.

Personally unless it’s a really modern property I’d pay the extra (last time I checked it was less than £200 around here) for the building survey. The chartered surveyors I know through work have always said they wouldn’t rely on the homebuyers alone, it’s only based on visual inspection.

Hey,
We also had a level 2 done, obviously the prices have gone up since then 😥

We opted for a smaller business with a surveyor who is also a damp and timber expert in case anything shows up.

BRICS Surveyors - 0161 865 6866 in sure they have a website as well. Good luck.
