How much hassle to fit a dishwasher.

Have had an offer accepted on a new house and one thing that niggles me is the lack of a dishwasher. Have young dcs and a disabled husband so everything falls to me. When I asked if there was a dishwasher the seller said no but one could easily go in this cupboard! It can't be that easy? I'm not sure if there's a socket near by, its the cupboard next to the sink so there's water can anyone give me any idea what would I need to do and how much I should expect to pay?

You'd need a socket and water + drain connection. Someone would need to remove the said cabinet nicely too before fitting the dishwasher. It'd take a good handyman less that a day so not that costly.

It sounds dead straightforward because the plumbing and drain are really close - electrics can usually be run along without too much effort too. I had a dishwasher fitted 3 cupboards away from my sink - not at all ideal, but the only space I had - and it works fine (though as I redesign my kitchen, I'm putting everything in a more sensible position)
