Current hob space 700, new hob 600 or 800

We are tweaking our kitchen rather than doing a whole new one.
O r current hob, sitting in the granite worktop, measures 700 wide.
The new one that we would like is either 600 wide or 800.
Can we cut the granite in situ?

TIA

There's loads of 700mm hobs, why not just go for one of those?

I can't see that Neff do a 700 and I'm a Neff girl at heart :)

We've just ordered that one. Great deal at the minute with £50 grocery card. Not much use if OP needs an electric hob though.

Yes you can probably get a builder to grind out some granite for you

Sorry guys, I should have said at the beginning that I was looking at induction. Although I now think I'm going to opt for domino instead (some induction, one big gas for the wok) so I've no idea what size I'll be working to now Grin
