Hi has anyone got Moduleo flooring? What it like? Is it hard wearing?

We are getting an extension which will give us a multi use room - kitchen diner and sitting area. We saw this flooring today and liked it We're also looking at amtico spacia We've been told not to go for karndean as it's the quality has gone down since the company moved china

I saw a thread on here recently (actually it was a revived thread) and it didn't get very good reviews. Have a search for it.

I am going for amitico as well

There's a longstanding thread on here which was posted on earlier this week - there are some very unhappy people with Moduleo.

Karndean is made by Polyflor, who make several different types of LVT flooring. Polyflor flooring is found in lots of commercial applications, e.g. retail shop floors where there is a lot more traffic than the average home. I believe that the margins are greater for Amtico. Spacia is their "entry level" product. They claim it is better because it is made in the UK. I'm not so sure - wage costs will almost certainly be much higher.

We have recently had Polyflor Expona Beveline fitted in our kitchen. It is more commonly fitted in bars and restaurants. The cost was under £18 psm for the flooring. Amtico Spacia was £45 psm and other Amtico £55 psm and upwards.

The key will all LVT is that the preparation gives a sound, level floor for the tiles to be laid on and that the fitting is well done. Fitters should be qualified - NVQ Level 2 I believe and some products are only guaranteed if the fitter has the product-related fitting certificate.
