Recommendations for national bathroom companies

We need to replace our bathroom. Paid out about £1500 having a new shower enclosure fitted about a year ago and it was a disaster - we employed a cowboy! So, I am not prepared to trust another independent/local trader. I want the back up of a big company who can offer a guarantee on their workmanship - this is an absolute must after what we've been through. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Big companies are only as good as their local fitter. I've never used one, but a couple of work colleagues used a big one and both had disasters with them the dragged on for over a year, both went to court. Big companies have big lawyers. Think the company is bust now (Moben?)

I echo what wings said. We've used one of the national chains and the fitter was awful. Appalling quality of work. The only positive was that they tried to rectify things but it all left a really bad taste in my mouth. I also found that they weren't much help with the design - it was all left to me and I was clueless. We also had to pay upfront so there was no flexibility.
