Help with how to replace shower holder/rail

INeedNewShoes · 25/09/2017 22:08

My shower hose was attached to the tiled wall on a slider rail. The lower fixing of the rail has fallen off and the screws that were holding it are still in the tiles but rusted to the point where removing them will be impossible.

Can anyone suggest a solution for this?

Thanks in advance for any advice. As you can probably tell I haven't got a clue!

Try spraying round the screws with WD40 and leaving it to work it's way in then try again to remove them. If a screwdriver won't work then pliers might, but do try to turn the screws, not yank them out which will make a big hole.

Thanks! I'll give this a go and see what happens.

a mole grip will probably turn them.

make a mental note to buy stainless screws for the replacement. Buying small numbers is easier on fleabay.

Thanks. I'll head down to my local hardware shop for a mole grip and some stainless steel screws.
