Paint on odd shaped wall

Hi,

I'm having an extension built at the moment and the wall where I was hoping to have a nice dark coloured paint has a piece extending up to the Apex of the roof.

The coloured block is the utility room and the long wall is a 2.5m long seating area with a TV opposite. We're having 2 wall lights here and i was going to paint it a really dark grey/blue. Where would you stop the paint? Would you paint just the section under the flat roof, or would you continue it up towards the roof? Hope I'm explaining this correctly!

Cheers

All of it. I think it will look odd stopping part way up the wall. That said, nothing wrong with painting the lower half first and seeing if you like it before you take it up to the ceiling. You could always paint a price of paper and stick it on to the top portion after you have painted the lower half and see which you prefer. Other people's opinions asn be reassuring but its you that has to live with it.

I think you might find the room very dark if you paint all the way up to the roof a dark colour. Are there going to be any roof lights and/or other windows?

That corner cut out is all glass (nearly 7m of glazing), and there are 2 velux windows too. Room is incredibly bright!
