How to get rid of silverfish?

One bed flat. I always have the extractor on in the bathroom etc, but have spotted the odd silverfish, generally in the bathroom, though I also found one once in the bedroom. Yesterday I saw one in the kitchen. Any advice on how to get rid of them?

I wondered if there was anything I could do before that?

Thank you all.
@HuckfromScandal & @barkingfly - what do I do with the mothballs, diatomaceous earth & eucalyptus leaves?

I don’t know anyone with a cat unfortunately!

You can get a spray that kills them. My flat at Uni was infested with them, but the spray did work.

There is a really good kit on amazon, search 'silver fish killer' or something. Think it's called 'protector' or 'protector c' and its very good. You get an aerosol, a water based spray and a powder. It's only about £15. Follow instructions carefully, it's amazing stuff and will kill all pests. Use gloves, also a mask if possible.

Clean and vacuum every inch of your home, have a clear out then spray and put powder in some places. Be careful of pets.

I have successfully eradicated several pest infestations with this stuff, worked as well as a pest controller I once used.

I absolutely hate pests in my home! Good Luck

Thanks re the spray recommendations. I’ll definitely look into those.
