I'm going to paint the front door Incarnadine.

I just can't decide on eggshell or gloss.....help!

Has anyone used Incarnadine?

Gloss seems to be out of fashion these days. However, I think it looks great on doors and it's practical for cleaning so I'd go with it.

I'd go gloss. Yes it has fallen out of fashion but I suspect it will start coming back as people realise that it has more hard wearing. In fact, a friend of mine has just had a load of work done in her v nice house and has gone back to using gloss on interior woodwork.

Gloss might be 'out of fashion' but I still think it looks really lovely on a front door and looks clean and smart for longer than eggshell.

By the way, just Googled the colour - it's really lovely; good choice!

We had ours painted 3 years ago in eggshell F&B. Just had it redone in the same colour in gloss as it had started peeling and looked grubby (vert de terre so quite light). The gloss looks much better and decorator said will be much longer lasting.

Brilliant thank you for all your help, gloss it is!
