Buying a house

Hi!

Iv bought a house and selling a house to my tenants everything is done on my house but I'm in week 16 now we are just waiting for the solicitor from our tenants to raise enquiries

On Saturday the estate agents rung from our new house to say the person we are buying the house off has rung to find out what is going on and why it is taking so long

I told the estate agents we are ready but our solicitors are taking there time they told me they will be putting pressure on to my solicitors this week and the estate agents which are selling my property

Do you think this will give the solicitor a push??

16 weeks seems really very slow. Have there been complications?

I'd be finding out exactly where the hold up is. You need more information from your solicitor.

IME it takes a rocket up the arse to give some conveyancers a push. Ours are bloody useless.

In what way are you "ready"? You can't proceed until all the enquiries from your sale to your tenants are sorted.

All enquires and searches are done on my new house

All searches are done on the house I'm selling but they are waiting for enquiries to be raised

Do you think the man getting 'itchy feet' and getting really annoyed and waiting it completed will push anything??

Sorting out enquiries can take ages. Has it really taken 16 weeks just to get searched back? If I was in a chain with you I'd be really pissed off and trying to move things along.

The new house sale has been quick

But my tenants solicitor is very slow she said it was priority because they were already living in the house which I think is bull shit

Yes. I phoned my solicitor for regular updates to keep things moving along.

I ring the solicitor everyday she has mega bad attitude she told me Monday that enquiries she raised on the new house had been dealt with she was just awaiting enquires to be raised from the solicitor on the old house

Her pa tells me different every time I speak to her tho

That's so annoying
I swear I am on the phone to my solicitor every day, I can tell they are sick of me calling them but I don't even care!

Sounds like you need to start putting pressure on, ring them twice a day if you have to!

Hope it all works out! They weren't kidding when they said buying and selling a house is one of the most stressful things you could ever do!!!

You tenants solicitor hasn't even raised enquiries in SIXTEEN WEEKS? That is crazy slow.
