Hi

First week of June this year I put a offer in on a new house and it got accepted!! All searches are done iv signed a contract in a cash buyer so no mortgage stuff needed

My house is currently being sold too but the remnants that are in there at the moment are buying the house everything has been done there too

The house I have bought is now empty, but........ I have no date

The solicitor has told me she is waiting for my tenants solicitor to find out if they have any queries although they work in the same office

When will I get my completion date or even know when they will exchange??

I feel like I'm going insane

Freudian slip? Hmm - I wouldn't be keen on the buyers' solicitor being in the same firm as mine, but they have professional standards to adhere to. Have all the queries been dealt with and is the tenants' mortgage offer approved? Has your solicitor asked your vendor's solicitor for any proposed dates for exchange? Ask specific questions to get more specific answers.

Yes all enquiries have now been dealt with they told me that on Monday this week, the mortgage offer for my tenants is in and has been since July, I spoke to the estate agents who told me the vendors solicitor is just waiting for a date off me solicitor, I feel like a pain ringing all the time and feel that if I keep on they will hold us back

Top tip: ring your conveyancer for an update every single day. They'll soon be desperate to see the back of you. You won't win any friends this way but I guarantee it will get things moving!

They probably pick your file up once a week or fortnight so just become a squeaky wheel.

Had a phone call off the estate agent yesterday to say the man we are buying the house off is starting to get itchy feet and that they would need to put pressure on my solicitor Monday do you think this will push the solicitors?
