One bedroom in my house has wardrobes built into the recesses on either side of the chimney breast. Very useful but they currently have very ugly wooden doors.
I would like to replace with shaker style MDF doors. However the carpenter has said it is difficult to get a good grip with hinges (because he said MDF is a bit 'woolly') and thus doors can 'drop' slightly out of place. Has anyone else had this problem with MDF wardrobes doors?
I'm pretty sure the wardrobes doors in our last house were MDF and we never had problems, but I'm wondering if we were just lucky.
Many thanks in advance for any advice
