Hello wise ones, I was wondering if any one had any advice re electric showers. We tend to run out of hot water quite easily, so are considering installing an electric shower in our ensuite. I 'd be grateful to hear of any advice or experience to share. Many thanks!

You really need to get the best one you can afford.

They can be affected quite a bit by mains water pressure. If it gets low (toilet being flushed, taps running etc.) the flow of the water can drop and the temperature of the water gets hot. Saying that; I would still get one.

what colour is your hot-water cylinder, and what size?

to compare to an electric shower, please run your existing shower into a bucket, time it to full, and calculate how many litres per minute it delivers.
