Bad credit and mortgage application

Hi,

We've just sold our house and had an offer accepted on another property. We got our mortgage in principal and have a good deposit to put down. We will be having 75% ltv and only a £120,000 mortgage. My problem is since we brought our house we got married. I stupidly didn't change my name on all of my accounts until recently so my credit in my married name hasn't really built and isn't the best.
My question is will this affect our mortgage application?we haven't missed a mortgage payment and obviously our loan to value is good but I'm so nervous it's making me sick. Our broker said to wait and see what happens but being existing customers should go in our favour. My credit in my maiden name is fine. Thanks in advance for replies

Shouldn't be a problem, I just had to provide my marriage certificate

Your credit history is yours, it goes with you when you change your name Wink

Your married name won't affect your credit rating. You are still the same person so your maiden name record is still the same and valid. I checked my experian last month and it listed both my maiden and married name.
