Dining table with kids

Wasn't sure where to post this but we are moving house and need to buy a new dining table. We have 2 toddlers and one on the way so I'm determined to find the most child friendly dining table without having a table cloth!! Is there such a thing??

I thought I had found the answer with our current all glass table but in reality it only ever looks clean if I spend ages polishing both the top and bottom of it! Compete nightmare for mucky handprints!!

Pictures or links would be amazing!!

We have a big solid thick oak table. It's perfect for kids. We give it a wax every couple of years and any bad scratches or stains can be sanded out. It also looks better with a bit of wear and tear imo

I have a vintage Formica one and I love it, soooooo easy. When they are too little for bowls they can eat straight off the tabletop. Crayon wipes right off too, even biro!
I grew up with a big old oak one, and that was super easy too- although didn't double as a weaning plate...

I have an extendable, round dining table from IKEA that I got about 10 years ago when my daughter was little. I've had to replace the chairs I bought at the same time, but the table is still so sturdy I often think it would survive the apocalypse.

I've just ordered a (very) rustic table/benches from etsy. I figured it would be less likely to show up stains and benches would be handier for dcs.
