Bare plaster paint colour, any ideas?

I really love the colour of bare plaster and think it would work well next to a wall of brick style wallpaper.
I've come across F&B setting plaster but it's very pink. Does anyone know of any alternatives? The kitchen units are light wood/beech style so something that'll work with that.

If you go to a Dulux centre or other paint mixer, they have a rack of cards with graduations of colour so small that you can hardly tell the difference. You can take small sample cards or order larger ones.

It's not just grey that comes in 50 shades.

Craig & Rose do one. You can get samples in Homebase.

You can get plaster polished so can leave it unpainted, I really like the effect.

It's a rented house, the landlord has given us free rein in doing what we want with the place (we'd be happy to buy it and he'd be happy to sell it to us in a few years) but I think plastering might be a step too far at this stage although I agree that would be lovely
