We've been in our house for three years but have just discovered what we think is rising damp. On looking back through paperwork we've found that damp proofing was carried out in the early 1990s with a 30 year guarantee. It looks like the damp is back in at least three of the rooms that were tanked and replastered at that time.
Has anyone claimed on a damp proofing guarantee? We know we need to get the guarantee transferred into our name before we can proceed but other than that, is there anything else we need to be aware of? Any advice much appreciated.
