I am new to the forums so hello!
We have had our eye on a certain house in a certain area for a long while now. From what we can see, an elderly person (or couple) have lived there. For the last year we have been debating whether to put a note through the door to express our interest, but have been worried about looking a little stalker-ish or upsetting somebody. 
Well, we walked past (as we do quite often) and the house appears to have been emptied completely and freshly cut grass etc.
Well, we thought this was our perfect opportunity to now put a note through the door! So we did. This was only a few days ago, and as the house is empty, I don't expect someone to come back to me immediately..... although I wish they would!! Hoping they haven't emptied the house and done the garden to put on the open market 
I've even gone to the extent of trying to see who owns the property via the Land Registry - but to no avail! It appears that it isn't registered, so I would presume that the owners had lived there a long time. Is this good news? i.e. nobody else has bought it/transferred it as yet.......
Has anyone had any success with something like this? We haven't leafleted any other houses, it is purely this one we are interested in and have deliberated over for so long.
Am I crazy to think that this may come off... I am hopeful but don't want to get my heart broken as we really really love the house.. guess we can only patiently (ha ha) wait and see...
Eagerly awaiting a text message or phone call but other peoples experiences may help put my mind at ease/give me a reality check!
