Im researching these at the moment as we'll need 4 in total and want them to be right.
Our current bathroom has an externally vented fan but its so noisy that id like any recommendations for something super quiet yet efficient. 1 family bath, 1 ensuite, a downstairs wc and a utility.

My builder mentioned In-Line - any experience?

have you got access above the ceiling, for example in a loft? If so, and inline ducted fan can be excellent. More powerful and quieter than a wall fan. They are rather unsightly.

Observe the throughput, in cubic metres per hour, and the noise, in db, when comparing fans. A typical £5 builders fan is about 80cu.m/hr and complete rubbish.

250cu.m/hr, good maker

Thanks Piglet. I had found www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01G8DM5UA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AFMJ21AVPSGJK&psc=1This&tag=mumsnetforum-21 ……. but was wary of buying from amazon. Reviews seem great though and the cu.m/hr looks good plus lower db than others I've seen

We tried a couple of vents until we got the Envirovent on Amazon.
We have a one with a timer and humidity detector in the bathroom, timer only in the downstairs toilet. They're very quiet and do an amazing job.
