Been fucking fucking fucking bastard fucking gazumped!

I don't blame the sellers, I blame the arseholes who offered knowing it was SSTC.

Sad

Blame the sellers - they clearly went after the money. If they had been honourable they would have refused the other offer. Have you paid out for anything yet?

FunSpunge · 05/09/2017 06:49

Nothing too major but I'll be speaking to the solicitor this morning to find out what we've incurred with them

6 weeks into the process, no wonder the seller was stalling answering solicitors questions

We now have a mortgage offer with a sodding time limit to it. Sad

We've been looking for over 18 months, I'm so fed up.

Ffs this system is so shit!
Did they offer much more? Is there anyway you could match the offer
You shouldn't have to

FunSpunge · 05/09/2017 09:25

No we couldn't match it and out of principal I wouldn't want to.

The arsehole gazumpers obviously thought we had offered asking price because they went in way above asking. What they don't realise is that they've paid probably paid £25k over what they needed to to steal the house from us

I reckon they'll try and gazunder at the point of exchange

Bastards
I really really feel for you!
We are going through the buying and selling process and I've never been so stressed in my life!
Everything happens for a reason tho, I'm sure an even better house will come up!
We missed out on a house, we were devastated at the time
But we found a much much better house
Round the corner!
Good luck

I feel wholeheartedly for you. This happened to us last year and my only piece of advise is to try to think "it obviously wasn't meant for us". I lost an entire year of my life looking at other places, feeling bloody bitter about the situation and losing my " dream house" and I just constantly felt sorry for myself. I HATED every weekend which were spent doing nothing but house hunting. It wasn't worth all the negativity I wasted on it in the end.

To make you feel better - I had friends who did the gazumping and karma came and bit them big time. When they moved in absolutely everything fell apart (despite having had a survey). One set of neighbours won't agree to their extension plans and throw mid week parties. The other one is bat shit crazy and bangs her broom against their walls at all hours while their baby sleeps.

It wasn't meant for you and you will find something better!

@Deeny27
Your first paragraph is just summing up how I feel. I'm so done with houses and the whole shitty buying process.

Totally and utterly fed up.

@FunSpunge. I feel you sista and don't even get me started on agents who play buyers up against each other. I am never doing it again! They will take me out of my house in a box!
