Recommendations for good quality tiles?

Any recommendations for good quality tiles? Preferably ones that don't cost a fortune.

For some reason I had been looking at Johnson tiles but I've just read the quality isn't good. I had been planning a trip to their outlet.

Really? We bought Johnson's tiles for our old bathroom and we recently got some (different tile) for the splashback in our kitchen. We just chose what we liked and they happened to be the same manufacturer. No problems with either and neither tiler mentioned any issues with Johnson's tiles. Topps sell Johnson's products, e.g. Attingham is one of theirs in a size exclusive to Topps.

Not sure what your budget is (and they do range in price) but Mandarin Stone tiles are fabulous. I've never been disappointed.

I thought Johnson's were a big manufacturer that made tiles for lots of other brands?? Could be wrong. They have a beautiful greeny large metro tile that I want next time I do up a bathroom.
We have bought tiles from.Tons of Tiles for our kitchen and been really pleased with the quality, price and service. Our bathroom tiles are from Topps and no issues with them either.
