Survey - who pays

When we bought this house 8 yrs ago, we as buyers paid for full homebuyers survey. Then HIPS came and went where I believe it pushed responsibility and cost of survey into sellers...?

So what's the deal now? We've had an offer accepted and want to get a full survey (not just the mortgage valuation one) on our new house - so do we organise and pay or do the sellers?

In England, the buyer pays for the survey of their choice.

Buyers pay for their own surveys. The EA usually liaises with the sellers to organise the date and time.
