Wifi solutions

Not sure if this is right thread, but does anyone know anything about home wifi networks? We have a three storey house with the router on the top floor (as this is where the line comes in). We did have a wufi extender which was ok (not great) but has now died.
Ideally we would like some ethernet over power plus some better, more reliable, wifi with no blackspots.

Have been looking at whole home wifi (BT or Netgear Orbi) but it's v expensive and I think you can only have ethernet where you have the satellites which might not be practical.
Cheaper alternative might be ethernet over power with the adapters also being a wifi hotspot. However I can't find out how good a wifi solution this is and also can't find any that don't have bad reviews (ie dropping out, ok at first but then keep getting drop outs etc - which is exactly what our extender did.
Anyone know anything about these and what is the best solution?

I use these. I get them on Amazon when they come up on sale. They are easy to set and work well. I've used other types before but these are the best.

I think your electric wiring has to be on one circuit.

Do they have those BT ones with ethernet over ports do you know?

The eero looks good but not on sale in UK yet sadly :-(

We have this to extend our internet connection from our house into our garden office which is about 40 metres from our WiFi hub. It's really excellent, reliable and very fast speeds.

I've gone for this in the end - working well so far!...www.maplin.co.uk/p/tp-link-av1200-gigabit-pass-through-powerline-ac-wifi-kit-a52wf
