We are getting painters for quotes this week, what would you pay in your area per room. We have had a quote of £200 per room which includes gloss and ceiling paint. I think this is ok but dh needs convincing.

Snap their hand off. That's very cheap.

Lesley1980 · 28/08/2017 19:33

I think that's pretty good.

He wants to go with some guy who does 5 rooms for £295 but I can imagine what they will look like.

That's really, really cheap!

Ellieboolou27 · 28/08/2017 20:26

Very cheap at £200 most professionals will charge double that, my family and dh are all trade and they'd agree.

Cheaper to go to local DIY shop and do it yourself, just allow time for preparation and easier if the room is empty, if not cover everything

We're in Hertfordshire

If you are anywhere near Surrey then please send me the details!

Bite his hand off, it's a good price.

GotToGetMyFingerOut · 28/08/2017 21:29

150 per man per day.

bananafanana1 · 29/08/2017 18:43

We have a guy that charges £120 a day. He painted large ish walls in bedroom and ensuite (no woodwork) in one day. So £200 is very very reasonable considering the prep work for the paintwork.

KitKat1985 · 29/08/2017 19:37

How big is the room OP?

KitKat1985 · 29/08/2017 19:37

Oh sorry, just saw it was per room, not for a room!
