Oven recommendation

Desperately need a new electric oven but I've never bought one before. What should I think about / know about before choosing please?

We were told to avoid Smeg and we eventually narrowed it down to Rangemaster or Stoves. I ended up buying from a local show room where I could twiddle knobs and dials.
