Toilet off a kitchen

I'm reading conflicting stuff online. We're close to exchanging on our new place and currently the downstairs wc is immediately off the kitchen.

The house we've sold (completed today yay!) had a downstairs wc in a "porch" if you like, i.e. door from kitchen into porch then door into the loo.

Do we need to do this to the new place?

I know you had to have two doors between a kitchen and toilet but I'm sure that's changed now.

Sorry not very helpful!

No it's fine, I recently had a toilet built right off the kitchen. Building regs now allow you to have just a door between the kitchen and the loo, you don't need 2 doors any more.

Out every I'd off the kitchen. Keep the door closed and flush with lid down and no issue. Although we do have a rule that there is no pooping in that loo.
