Replace broken window pane in metal window

My ds had an accident with a golf ball (!) and has broken a window pane. I contacted our local glass company who could replace the glass mid September. We are going on holiday shortly so it looks as if I will have to do it.

I have tried YouTube but can not find information about metal framed windows only wooden window frames.

Has anyone any advice? I have never tried to do anything like this before. Previously all diy jobs were done very competently by my lovely dh who sadly died in June.

TIA

There must be other window companies you could try? Are they crittal windows? Builders or odd job men might be able to help as well.

bilbodig- thank you for your reply.

I am only aware of one company that covers my village but I will double check. The windows are metal but are within a wooden outer frame (hope that makes sense). We have had most of the windows replaced but just my luck not this one (plan to extend shortly).

I think a local handyman may be my best option. Just got to find one .......

Otherwise I will have to give it a go!
