New garage door

So I'm looking to get a new garage door and fitting.

What do people think of roller doors (electric)? Just been quoted £799 which thought seemed quite good.

Any thoughts please?

We had one a few houses back and it was really useful and worked very well. Most of the time. We did have a few problems over the years and had to get the company who installed it back a few times to repair. You're also meant to have it serviced but I can't remember how regularly!

That sounds like an excellent price to me.
We had one fitted earlier this year and it cost approx. £2000.
To be fair, they had to install 2 steel beams (concrete sectional garage) and they also widened the opening quite a bit for us.
It's got remote control too so is superb as we never have to get out of the car in the rain, snow and dark ever again!
We love it and consider it money well spent.

Make sure you either have a separate access to the garage or get a manual crank added to the new door - otherwise if the opener jams or the power goes out you can't access the garage.
