Hi
I live in rented accomodation, I have lino down between the bathroom and the kitchen. I have noticed that the floor bubbled up, which went away then a corner of the flooring underneath is now just poking up in two places. is this a leak?
thanks

probably.

What you call "lino" is probably vinyl flooring, which is waterproof, but there is probably a layer of hardboard under it, which is used to make the surface smoother and avoid marks on the surface of the vinyl. Hardboard expands with damp, forming "bubbles"

if you lift it you will probably see damp marks.

in a bathroom they usually come from leaks.
